Guidance for visitors to our services

Friday 8th of April 2022

This information for visitors to our services was updated on 08/04/22 to reflect new Government guidance on coronavirus infection control.

The national vaccination programme has substantially reduced the risk of severe illness from Covid19 in social care settings. However the risk has not been eliminated, and outbreaks could still occur. We continue to follow the guidance from the Government and our regulators the Care Quality Commission regarding infection control.

Key points for visitors to all Avenues services:

  • You must wear a facemask, which will be provided by the service you are visiting on arrival.
  • Pre booking your visiting time with a service is no longer essential but would be advisable. We will, in the event of any outbreak, follow the advice from the Local Health Protection Team (HPT). We will, at all times, follow the HPT advice and update family members appropriately.
  • While no longer mandatory, Avenues encourages all visitors to take an LFD test before entering a service. This is in the best interest of the people we support and our staff teams.
  • Any visitor who will be providing personal care must complete a LFD test.
  • Free tests will be provided on your arrival at the service.
  • You will be required to complete our visitor declaration form on arrival at the service.

Download and view the visitor declaration form (Word document).

If you have any questions about visiting or this guidance, please contact the service you intend to visit.
