Global recognition for Avenues governance
Tuesday 10th of November 2020We’re delighted that one of our amazing staff has been recognised with an international award for her work in making the charity stronger, and more able to deliver its vision for people.
Lauren Osman is now a Modern Governance 100 Recipient; a prestigious award given by global governance specialists.
Group Chief Executive Jo Land said: “We’re all incredibly proud of Lauren – great governance is of central importance to charities and her hard work has built a foundation for our future, where we will be supporting more people across the country, and become a provider of choice for families and commissioners.
“She’s very successfully kept us all to time and to task, meaning that we achieved what we set out to and this resulted in a much more streamlined, efficient and less costly governance structure.”
Over her ten years at Avenues, Lauren has overseen a number of governance changes including mergers, corporate structural reviews and most recently a full scale governance review, which led to her nomination.
Lauren is currently co-ordinating a group-wide transformation programme, alongside its response to the coronavirus pandemic.
She will now be a panellist at the virtual Modern Governance Event Europe, taking place online on the 25th November, where she will have the opportunity to share the wonderful work of Avenues, ‘From Surviving to Thriving Through a Corporate Crisis’. Panellists will discuss the impact of COVID19 on their organisations, how governance professionals had to help their organisations through this period, and lessons learnt from living through this.
