Digital systems at Avenues

At Avenues we are continuing to develop our digital systems, including how  we record people’s support. This allows us to be clear that we are providing people with the support they need –  and keep improving.

Our new digital recording system is called Access Care Planning, and this includes a Family Portal. The portal can give families and friends access to loved ones’ support records.

We are really excited about the possibilities this opens up, and believe strongly that with the right permissions and safeguards, chosen family and friends should have access to personal records.

We are committed to getting this right, so are taking time to ensure that the system works as intended, is configured in the most user-friendly way, and is supported by robust policies, procedures, and training.

Over the coming months, we will be seeking input from family members, the Family Matters Group, the people we support, and colleagues across Avenues. Once this is completed, we expect to be able to confirm when our Family Portal will go live.
