Avenues celebrates more staff achievements across the organisation

Friday 3rd of October 2025

This September, colleagues across two more of Avenues subsidiaries came together for  fantastic staff celebration events.

Teams at Autism Hampshire and Avenues East were recognised for their achievements, shared good times, and celebrated with the people who make such a difference every day.

Avenues East

In Stowmarket, around 60 colleagues and people we support joined the Avenues East celebration at a local community centre.

The event featured live music that created a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere, with colleagues and people we support joining in with instruments and dance.

Guests also enjoyed a buffet lunch of sandwiches and cakes, adding to the sense of community and celebration throughout the afternoon.

The event was an opportunity to celebrate colleagues’ incredible contributions. Kevin Hulls, Regional Director for Avenues South East and Avenues East, presented three awards:

  • Manager of the Year – Tina Lambert
  • Best Newcomer Award – Charmaine Joseph
  • Team of the Year – Bridge Street

Autism Hampshire

Meanwhile, at Gosport Rugby Club, around 50 colleagues gathered for Autism Hampshire’s staff celebration.

Guests enjoyed a curry lunch and cheesecake, with favour bags at each table as a gesture of appreciation.

Entertainment was provided by a magician, whose impressive performance – including fire tricks and sleight-of-hand illusions – added a memorable highlight to the afternoon.

The main focus of the event was recognising the dedication of colleagues across Community Services and Regulated Services, with awards presented by Jeremy Brown alongside our leadership team.

Community Services Awards

  • Team of the Year – Information, Advice and Guidance
  • Above and Beyond – Katie Board, Service Manager (IAG and External Training)
  • Making a Difference – Dave Serpell Stevens, Senior Autism Practice and Training Specialist

  • Newcomer of the Year – Sam Hely, Business Support Administrator for Serendipity Community Groups

Regulated Services Awards

  • Superb Support Worker – Kirstie Burgess, Support Worker
  • Notable Newcomer – Elisha Afolabi, Support Worker

Celebrating what makes us special

Both celebrations were a wonderful reminder of the passion, commitment and care that colleagues across Avenues bring to their roles every single day.

They also give everyone a chance to pause, connect, and recognise the achievements of those who go above and beyond to make a difference to the lives of the people Avenues’ supports.

Congratulations to all of this year’s award winners, and thank you to everyone who helped make these events such a success.
