It's challenging work. While most of the people we support have autism or learning disability, many have multiple or complex needs, and sometimes challenging behaviour. These behaviours often stem from frustration or anxiety, sometimes from the way they have been supported in the past.

Avenues support teams work with people to understand what they like, what they don't like, and their ambitions, and then help them make choices. Active Support and Positive Behaviour Support are fundamental at Avenues, and through learning and applying these approaches, you can transform people's experience of life.
