What things are you most proud of in your services?
In November 2016 Welmede merged with Avenues. It has been exhilarating to draw on Welmede’s proven experience in the delivery of outstanding quality support and specialised housing to people with learning disabilities and Avenue’s extensive expertise in the provision of support to people with Autism. I’m proud to lead a diverse group of managers and dedicated support staff utilising knowledge of both organisations to ensure the best possible outcomes for each person entrusting Avenues as their care and support provider of choice. The quality of our services is not only evident in the feedback from people using our support, but also supported by our regulatory compliance levels independently assessed by the regulator, the Care Quality Commission. The wealth of experience and knowledge from both organisations allows us to design and deliver outstanding quality support with the best possible outcomes for each supported person at the forefront. Our expertise and open approach to working with other organisations enables Avenues to provide support throughout a person’s life, continuously responding to their changing needs, wishes and aspirations providing the most adequate model and levels of support. I’m proud that so many individuals entrust Avenues to be their support and care provider of choice.
