Avenues East community support services

Avenues East community support services (CSS) supports people aged 18 years old and over who have learning disabilities, physical disabilities, sensory impairments and complex health needs in the East of England.

Based in the heart of Suffolk, our community support services operate mainly in the Ipswich, Stowmarket and Bury St Edmunds areas. We run a mixture of active, social and creative opportunities to suit all needs and abilities.

We offer:

Daytime activity groups range from tennis, badminton, nature walks, yoga and fitness classes to music workshops and arts and crafts. Evening social activities include games, quiz nights and karaoke evenings.

We encourage inclusion by working with an number of local organisations including museums, cinemas and sporting facilities. Sessions integrate life skills training in areas such as money handling, travel training, accessing libraries, and trip to the supermarket.

Outreach support

Outreach support provides person-centred support to enable people with a disability to be as independent as possible and to live their lives the way they choose. Support is available from 4 to 24 hours a day, seven days a week and includes: support to live at home, support to access work-based opportunities and support with house-hold duties among other things. We provide outreach support in limited areas – please enquire for more information.

Short breaks and events

Avenues East CSS also offers a range of short breaks and events which are suitable for adults over 16 years old.
