What we do
Home Care supports over 250 people in the London Borough of Southwark. The majority of the people we support in this area are aged over 65 years old, but around 10% of the people are younger but have a learning disability, physical disability or are mentally or physically ill.south
Home Care offers a domiciliary service with highly-trained staff to people with complex needs, including people with physical disabilities, learning disabilities or mental health problems. The service also offers palliative care.
Home Care has been providing support for people in their own homes for over 30 years.
We provide a range of personal and practical care tasks to support people to live independently in their own homes. These range from cleaning and laundry to full personal care, including catheter care.
The OASIS Service
Home Care also works in partnership with South London and Maudsley NHS Trust, the Community Mental Health and Mental Health Older Adults teams to deliver the OASIS (Older Adults Support in Southwark) service. This supports older people with dementia, meaning that people can remain living at home for longer, with the increased social interaction and independence that goes with that.
Staff
Home Care employs over 140 staff, working between the hours of 7am to 10pm, 365 days a year. Our staff are all NVQ qualified, and many also have specialist training in moving and handling, medication and dementia care.
Our staff work in small teams of between two and six people, which allows for consistency; the people we support will have the same people coming to support them.
