Who We Are Avenues provides professional, not-for-profit support services for people with complex or challenging needs, including learning disabilities, physical disabilities, autism and mental health issues.
Our vision is to deliver services with the people we support, placing their needs and hopes first, working with them to enjoy their lives within their communities.
What We Do We offer tailored support, including residential services, to over 800 people in London, Cambridge and the south east.
- We offer community and home-based support to over 600 people with mental health issues, learning disabilities or physical disabilities, including a home care service mainly for older people
- We support over 200 people in small, registered care homes, providing personalised, 24-hour support services to people with high support needs, including challenging behaviour and profound and multiple learning disabilities
- We run a registered nursing home for people who need long-term support with their mental health
- We are developing support services for young people with learning disabilities and autism
Our Staff Our staff are key to the success of Avenues' services. Avenues employs over 1200 staff in a range of roles, from being a part of one of our 50 service teams to working in either our head or local area offices, supporting the work on the frontline.

To support this work, Avenues is committed to recruiting and developing quality staff. We have developed a Training Academy, which provides each member of staff with the learning and development they need to support them in their role, as well as a clear structure for career progression.

London Borough of Greenwich We run residential services for people with learning disabilities in Greenwich
London Borough of Bromley We run residential services for people with learning disabilities in Bromley
Head Office Our Head Office near Sidcup is home to over 50 members of staff working in our cental services, supporting the work we do
Surrey We run residential services for people with learning disabilities, some of whom have high support needs, in Horley, Redhill, Warlingham and Walton-on-the-Hill
West Kent We run residential services for people with learning disabilities, some of whom have high support needs, in Hildenborough, Sevenoaks, Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells
Medway We run residential services for people with learning disabilities, some of whom have high support needs, in Chatham, Gillingham, Rainham, Rochester and Strood
East Kent We run residential services for people with learning disabilities, many of whom have high support needs, in Birchington, Westbrook, Cliftonville, Hoath and Sturry. We also have a day service which works offers activities to people in these services.
Cambridge We run residential services for people with learning disabilities in Fulbourn
London Borough of Barking and Dagenham We run residential services for people with learning disabilities, many of whom have high support needs, in Barking and Dagenham
London Borough of Havering We run residential services for people with learning disabilities, many of whom have high support needs, in Havering. We also run a nursing home for people with mental health issues.
CSS London South Our community support service (CSS) London South provides support to people with learning disabilities or mental health issues in their own homes. We work in the London boroughs of Bromley, Greenwich, Merton and Sutton
CSS West Kent Our registered community support service (CSS) West Kent provides support to people with mental health issues or learning disabilities in their own homes
CSS Young People's Service CSS West Kent also offers home-based support to young people with learning disabilities and autism or challenging behaviour
CSS East Kent Our community support service (CSS) East Kent provides support to people with learning disabilities in their own homes
Southwark Home Care Southwark Home Care supports around 350 people, mainly older people, in the London Boroughs of Southwark and Lambeth. The support means people can carry on living their own lives in their own homes
