Board of Directors for The Avenues Trust Community Support Services

The Avenues Trust Community Support Services has a Board of Trustees which reports directly into the Avenues Group Board.

Chair: Liz Hewett

Liz qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1974 started her nursing career in London. She also worked in various nursing roles in Scotland, Leicester and Wales, eventually specialising in Accident & Emergency. She worked her way through the ‘ranks' of nursing and in to NHS management and in 1990 was appointed as Director of Nursing. Liz held two such posts, both in Wales. During this time she achieved a Diploma in Management Studies and an MSc in Health Care Management graduating from the University of Glamorgan in 1995.

In 1998, Liz was appointed to the position of Director of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) for Wales. In 2003 Liz was promoted to Executive Director, Service Delivery within the RCN, a HQ London based position.

In May 2005 Liz set up her own consultancy, Tendrow Management Solutions offering 1:1 coaching, facilitation and mediation.  Liz is accredited as an independent mediator by the School of Psychotherapy and Counselling, Regent's Park, London and by the Institute of Leadership & Management with a Diploma in Leadership mentoring & Executive Coaching.
