Community Futures Kent has organised a meeting between local disabled people and MP for Sevenoaks Michael Fallon as part of a government consultation on disability issues.

Sidcup Zumbathon puts the ‘fun’ in fundraising for Avenues – 13 February 2012
A charity three-hour ‘Zumbathon’ is being held at Sidcup Leisure Centre later this month to raise money for activities for people supported by the Avenues Trust Group.

Community Futures Kent disappointed at Swanley Station decision – 6 February 2012
Community Futures Kent has expressed disappointment at the recent announcement that Swanley Rail Station will no longer be the gateway station for visitors to the Paralympic Games Road Cycling events taking place at Brands Hatch in September 2012.

The Avenues Trust Group has teamed up with The John Heuerman Tennis Academy to launch a new community tennis group in Sevenoaks which welcomes people with disabilities.

National Voices letter to The Times – 10 January 2012
Avenues in conjunction with 40 other national health and social care charities – all members of the National Voices coalition - have written to The Times calling on the government to make the Health Bill work better for patients and other service users.
